MY STORY
Hannah Prokop, Pastry Chef
Hi, I’m Hannah, and this is Bake it Sweet by Hannah! I have always loved baking and
grew up helping my mom at an early age in the kitchen. We baked breads, pies, cakes,
and cookies from my great grandmother’s recipes and gave them to friends and family.
When I was seven years old, I was diagnosed with brain cancer. Baking was something
I could do during my treatments, when I couldn’t go to school, play sports, or be around others and I grew to love it.
After high school, I went to pastry school to further my skills as a baker. In 2020, I
decided to start my own bakery, and Bake it Sweet by Hannah was born! I love trying
new things and tweaking my recipes for fun. Most days you can find me in my kitchen,
covered in flour and experimenting. I use only the finest ingredients available such as Callebaut chocolate, King Arthur unbleached flour, and organic Madagascar Vanilla, to
name a few. I always incorporate local ingredients whenever possible such as local
organic honey and organic herbs from my own garden (rosemary is my favorite).
